Well, to start, they’re silky smooth under any outfit. But more importantly, if you run hot—and are one of those people who’s constantly setting the thermostat to “meat locker” temperature—these are going to be a revelation.

Our slip shorts are made of hi-tech fabric that lowers the body temperature. (If you want to get geeky about it, the flat cross-section of the yarn offers a wide surface area that quickly releases body heat from your skin.) The yarn texturizing process gives the shorts incredible breathability; the finished ultra-thin fabric is a breeze to wear, literally.

Think of them as a combination between an old-school slip, a boxer brief and a bike short: They give you coverage under short or too-sheer outfits, stop your inner thighs from trying to start a forest fire, and light smoothing with no VPL (the word “panties” weirds us out, too). Plus, the knit-in cotton-rich crotch means you can wear them without underwear if you want, eliminating the need for an extra layer.

Not as good as I hoped

Bought this as I knew I'd be cafing a lot on my holiday.
Very disappointed. Far from being cool, they were hot and sweaty around my bum amd stomach. I'm used to wearing cotton high-leg pants. Maybe I'm just not used to synthetic fabrics next to my skin.
They don't roll, or ride up - that is the one good thing, but I won't bother next summer. They may be useful in the winter when it's chilly and I need another layer.

Life-changing, plus impeccable customer service

Not sure why I had never heard of chub rub shorts before this year, but they have changed my life! I looove them! Plus, I got the cooling shorts, and they actually do make me feel cooler in the sweltering heat and humidity of the summer months. I'm also super happy to be able to sit on the grass in a short dress without flashing everyone. :)

I originally ordered the M/L because I consider myself to have juicy thighs, but they aren't kidding when they say they have a lot of stretch. DEFINITELY size down - the M/L started riding up my legs and it was pretty annoying. I wear a size 28 in Levi's jeans, to give you an idea. I ended up finding that the seam on the cooling shorts was coming apart a little, so I wrote to let them know (with pictures), and they didn't miss a beat and sent me replacements - on top of it I asked if the replacements could be sized down, and they happily obliged. The smaller shorts are much better, and I may even have been able to pull off getting the XS/S, so if you're on the smaller side, get the smallest size they have for sure. They streeeeeeetch and don't pinch.

They are really exceptional in the customer service department! I did end up having to ask for a second replacement for a similar reason, but I still recommend this company based on my experience with them for replacements and the amazing comfort of the shorts. I definitely would encourage everyone to encourage companies like this who have quality and customer satisfaction as a top priority!
