We’re glad you asked. Think of them as a combination between an old-school slip, a boxer brief and a bike short: They give you coverage under short or too-sheer outfits, stop your inner thighs from trying to start a forest fire, and light smoothing with no VPL (the word “panties” weirds us out, too). Plus, the knit-in cotton-rich crotch means you can wear them without underwear if you want, eliminating the need for an extra layer.

Thigh Society shorts don’t compress you or suck you in like shapewear. Instead, they’re a lightweight, breathable, sweat-wicking essential you’ll reach for again and again.

Way too small

They need a better size chart. I wear a size 4, have 35" hips, and bought their recommended size XS/S. They were soooo tight! They were a little tight on my waist and gave me a bit of muffin top, fine on my hips, but so tight on the band around the thighs it left a red mark after trying them on for only a few seconds. I looked up how to do an exchange for a bigger size, but guess what? These "shorts" they're selling are suddenly underwear, and not eligible for a return. I bought two pairs and now am out $90. I feel completely ripped off, especially since I bought the size their very inaccurate and incomplete size chart said I should. Will never buy from again.

So soft, so smooth!

I own under-the-dress shorts from other companies and nothing beats The Cooling shorts. They are the soft, smooth and thin. T best part- they do not move, shift, ride up or fall down.
I have the 9” and the 12”… I am 6’1” and find the 12” fit me, length-wise, like a 9” on the models.

What I’ve been looking for!

THANK YOU for making these cotton blend slip shorts. I can’t wear skirts or dresses without thigh protection, or I get chafing. I can’t wear synthetic fabrics, as my skin freaks out. I’ve been wearing cotton blend “bike shorts”, but those are so thick the seams and edges are visible and they also cling to cotton dresses and ride up. I wore these shorts with a cotton dress while walking around all day: no binding, no chafing, and I didn’t even notice I was wearing them! When I first pulled them on, the fit felt a little odd (tight at bum/top of thighs, a bit loose in crotch area), and I worried they would slide down, but they never did. I never had to yank on them. Great product!!!!!!! Only bummer was I didn’t realize the company was in Canada and I got charged an international transaction fee on my credit card.
