Frequently Asked Questions

Our cotton shorts are made of a mix of Pima—the champagne of cottons, which is extra-soft and extra-durable—and modal, a natural fiber that's resistant to shrinkage and pilling. Together, they create a texture that’s as luxurious and velvety as a Sade song.

They're both! We’re glad you asked. Think of them as a combination between an old-school slip, a boxer brief and a bike short: They give you coverage under short or too-sheer outfits, stop your inner thighs from trying to start a forest fire, and light smoothing with no VPL (the word “panties” weirds us out, too). Plus, the knit-in cotton-rich crotch means you can wear them without underwear if you want, eliminating the need for an extra layer.

Thigh Society shorts don’t compress you or suck you in like shapewear. Instead, they’re a lightweight, breathable, sweat-wicking essential you’ll reach for again and again.

Flexible and stretchy, our waistband is made from the same fabric as the shorts, just double-folded and sewn-in. It stretches to your curves, never cuts into them. The waistband is like the Loch Ness Monster: you’ll doubt it really exists.

Incredible.

This is the first review I’ve ever written - I felt compelled to write it after spending an entire day walking around a hot city, and didn’t even notice these were on! When I got undressed, I realized I was sweaty everywhere else, but these kept me cool and I didn’t have to adjust them once. I am 3 months postpartum and have been struggling to find functional items. I now will even wear them under my skorts that have built-in shorts that I find frustrating. These stay put, and keep me cool, and eliminated all chafing. Couldn’t believe it. Amazing!

Sweaty

These do not keep you cool at all. They make you sweat. But you can avoid chafing.

Best shorts ever.

I dress in dirndls (German Oktoberfest type dess) many times between August & December. Some wear bloomers under their dress. I had a type of short (big name) but they would ride up. I bought my first couple pairs of ThighSociety, the cargo type and love them. Will be ordering more. We have just been in Munich for Oktoberfest and these are the best under my dirdl. I can put my phone or some money in the pocket and feel super secure. Most pockets in dirdls are rather shallow so I don't like to put anything in them and I prefer not to be dragging a purse to these super busy places. Thank you.

Cooling in Florida humidity

Purchased these for Disney world in Florida heat and humidity. They kept me real cool and wicked the sweat away. They stayed in place and didn’t roll up.
I Will purchase more. True to size.

I may have bought them too big

I bought these to wear under my dress for a friend's wedding. I purchased the 7inch XL-2X size as I am a XL-1X on the bottom, 220lbs and 5'3". I was worried about them being rolling down if they were too tight.
Positives: they were thinking and worked to keep thighs from rubbing. They were cooling as they are very thin and see thru. I did not get any runs in them.

Negative: they were very loose and kept sliding down. They worked for the wedding in that it kept my thighs from rubbing together but I felt I couldn't really dance as the top kept sliding down my stomachand I was constantly having to pull them up.
I don't know about other people but when I put these on they went up to just under my beasts as I have a small torso. Usually with high rise bottoms this is no problem and they stay up but not these. They were too loose.
I am wondering if I bought them in the L-XL if they would of stayed better?? But I don't think I will find out as I can not afford another pair to see. These were a luxury purchase for me.
They basically feel like very good nylons that won't rip but might if you had a jagged nail, if that makes sense.

If they had some kind of non-slip material on the top it might have been perfect but the whole item is made out of the same material, it's just folded over at cuffs and waist to be thicker there.
I feel like these are going in the right direction but just might need a little upgrade to them or I just bought the wrong size. 😕
