I ordered a S/M, 7" black in everything but 'The Cargo'.
The Cooling, definitely my favourite to wear, so comfy, so light, you forget you're wearing them, great in hot sweaty conditions, unfortunate downside of this strength however is that they're very delicate as a result, treat these very carefully, as they can tear or fray easier than the other pairs.
It basically feels like you're wearing nothing, but still covers you and prevents chafe, awesome.
They're sheer so I'd say leave it exclusively as an underlayer if worn alone.
Cooling/Lightness+++
Very Delicate ---
The Cotton, the texture of the material feels rougher, but overall is very comfy, it's biggest strength is the greater moisture wicking and breathability of the material, you'll feel dryer, longer. Not only that, it smells nicer longer, something about the cotton helps prevent odour build up.
Literally, it's impossible to make these smell bad, even after the world's sweatiest day, semi sheer tho, so be careful when wearing alone.
Breathability, Odour Prevention +++
Slightly rougher feel, more likely to roll ---
The Original, nice thick, stretchy material, literally shorts that you can wear without undies, for the ultimate, no chafe clothing item or underlayer, can be worn on it's own as it's opaque, so no risk of anything showing, no matter how much it's stretched. Only thing is the waist tends to come slightly loose, but otherwise fits very well and stretches without pinching waaaay more than you'd think, also it's probably the most durable out all the options I've tried, you don't need to be as careful with these, very cosy, great if you're about to do something active.
Durable and Stretchy +++
Thicker than the others, just a little loose at waist ---
The Staple, is a blend of everything, it's strength is that it's a jack of all trades, a lot like the original, but slightly smoother of a feel, little bit more clingy, making it more well fitting round the waist and well, just everywhere really, and slightly thinner, can be used as the ultimate no fuss underlayer if you can't decide what you want. Also semi sheer, so be careful, as you may see through it somewhat when it's stretched.
The thinner, smoother, clinger material help to hide it under tight clothes, making it pretty much almost invisible, if it's not on show.
Versatility, Lack of Fuss +++
Specific Strengths ---
As a general rule of thumb all of the shorts come with cotton stitching in the crotch, meaning you can wear these on their own for ultimate comfiness, I did, so, just know that my review is based on wearing these alone.
They all do have a varying amount of 'roll'age', but not much if at all, some pairs are sturdier in terms of staying in place that others.
Overall the waist is more likely to roll than the thighs, as it tends to come a little loose for most customers on average (the waist) it seems, it clings to your thighs pretty solidly however despite heavy physical activity, without pinching or constricting at all. Magic.
If I had to pick a pair that rolled the worst (in comparison, none of them rolled that much tbh) it would be The Cotton, that's likely just due to the difference in material however.
Overall I absolutely loved these, they've been a treat and have completely freed me from the curse of uncomfy undies, or rough clothing.
Plus it's actually been a great help for my wardrobe too, they're a wonderful base layer, they don't pinch, so they almost never look unflattering as a result.
Quick recommendations for sizing to help clear confusion, pick the size that's smaller, so if you're an M, don't pick S/M, pick M/L, they run ever so slightly smaller than you'd expect, likely the reason is, they need something to cling to, so they can't be loose.
10/10 would recommend to a friend and would buy again.
